Dr. Polk’s Background Story
Dr. Ronald J. Polk, Jr. hails from Hampton, South Carolina. He went to college in-state and received his bachelor’s degree in science from the University of South Carolina. He then went to the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine, where he graduated in 1993. He then went to work at Fort Jackson until 1996. Working in the military location of Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Dr. Polk learned what it was like to serve on post and work with military communities. It’s also one of the main reasons they continue to work with and actively accept military dental coverage today.
Dr. Polk then moved to Georgia, before coming to work at Family Dentistry of Columbus in 1998. For more than 20 years, he and his family have been a presence in the Columbus area. They are proud to call Columbus their home and work in the community that they have grown to know and love.
Dr. Polk is proud to serve the community and give back whenever possible, whether that be through dental care or beyond. That’s also why we are proud to have him leading our team!
